Hawaii Butterfly Release, December, 2004
As part of our healing process we decided to take a cruise to Hawaii on Christmas and New Year's 2004. It
was a most special trip and we received so many signs that Tarik was with us. In the photos attached we
arranged for a butterfly release. We purchased 24 butterflies to release into a tropical rain forest in
Honolulu. Butterflies symbolize "new life" and in some cultures the word for "butterfly" and "soul" have the
same meaning. Butterflies shed their bodies (cocoon) like we do when we pass on. Then they emerge into
a beautiful new form and fly...enjoying a very short life which is almost magical.
